In July – Russell and Jodi had an anniversary. James had a birthday – an old man – and Britani had a birthday.
In August Dallin, Jenni had a birthday and Robert & Karla had an anniversary all the same day. Happy Birthday to Amy and Happy Birthday to Tracy. Happy anniversary to Ross and Sarah, Jennifer and Randy and James and Amy.
I sure enjoyed dad and mom and Britan and Keenan coming to visit. We hope they had a great time, at least a good one.
Jessica went to camp and had a really fun time. I am finishing up several projects and starting some new ones. Blaire is moving along day by day… Laura our sweet sister is a great blessing to our home. We heard from Ross, he sounds tired but good. His address is

I heard the Family Reunion was awesome! Sorry we didn’t make it – we were sick and not doing well at our house – we are a little better today.

Well I wanted to tell my children how proud I am of them. Life has brought many changes over the last couple of months. I want them to know that their choices are good ones. Jessica graduated from Seminary, Young Womens and soon from high school. She is so awesome! Ross is doing well, this is a hard thing he chose to do, but we are so proud of him and the small good things that he is changing in his life every day to make himself a better person. Life is a daily battle that I hope we can face like my sister says: We live in a musical and for no apparent reason we often burst into song…. :-) . The other thing I try to think is: Is it a minor inconvenience or a major issue before I get to upset… Sarah is the best daughter-in-law ever. She always loves us and makes sure we are OK and that we get to spend time with Ross. She is kind and good and we are greatly blessed by her joining our family. She keeps herself busy by helping children in an afternoon school program. What an wonderful thing to be able to do. Jennifer is an awesome mom and she is so talented in the things she does. Serving in the Primary too. She is good to share photos and videos of our grand kids. Randy is in Young Mens and he is an awesome dad to his 2 kids. He plays with them and pretends with them. What an awesome family.
I am so happy God blessed Blaire and I with these 3 wonderful children and are grateful for the people they have brought into our lives.
At the end of this month Jessica and I will be doing another performance of Joseph Smith The Prophet musical. We are excited.
Wow I have a great family and I just wanted to say thanks to all of them. I love you all so much.
Well here goes… I don’t know where this will end up but I wanted to give you all Ross’ address (for now) I think cards, pictures, and letters are best for now since I do not know how much he will be able to take to Kuwait with him. He is in Fort Hood Texas right now so this should be his address for about a month or 2, I will let you all know for sure. He has been busy this last week with mostly meetings, and running and pt (physical training, I think) I’m hoping to get good enought at this that I can keep you all updated on how and what he is doing. He does not have internet access as of right now but I will let you know when he does. So please write to him and keep it upbeat so he doesn’t get too sad, also no matter how much he beggs please don’t try to send him ice cream! LOL! Love, Sarah

I really wanted to wait until next week because we have 3 birthdays this week – the last week of April – to do birthdays but Joe’s is before next Sunday and I wanted him to have a Happy Birthday.
Happy Birthday to everyone in May – this may be kind of long – because about 1/5 of our family’s birthdays are in May. Joe, Ross, Shawna, Jessica, Kloe, Danni, Randy, Kordel, Johnnie, and last but not least David. :-) I hope I didn’t miss anyone, please let me know. No anniversaries….. But Congratulations to Britani and Shawna. Britani gets to live with her mom full time. We love you Britani.
Also we need to remember our moms this month. By the way I am her favorite and Esthers favorite daughter-in-law. Sorry everyone :-) . . . Happy Mother’s Day to our mom -We all love her and appreciate her. May is a busy month. May 7th is the National day of Prayer. I wonder if everyone who normally doesn’t pray said a prayer and added to those that normally pray on that day – would there be greater peace and love on that day. I wonder what really would happen if everyone prayed for the same thing – what really would be happen.
Then one of the other days that is in May is Memorial Day – It is not important who was the very first to set up the Day, what is important is that Memorial Day was established. Memorial Day is not about division. It is about reconciliation; it is about coming together to honor those who gave their all. I am grateful my son, nephews, cousins, fathers, grandfathers gave their all, so I could have my freedoms. So many do not allow others their freedoms by the selfishness in their lives, and then we look at those who gave their all. . . it really makes you wonder. But God’s plan is all about freedom of choices, and allowing others freedom to choose.
As I thought about all these things that happen in May and look for things to help guide us, May seems to be a really great month to be born in. The plants are beginning to grow, babies are born, and women are respected and freedoms remembered. I hope that I have a great month and hope you do too. Enjoy life – it only lasts a little while.
