Christmas 2008

Dec 24, 02:39 PM

Well here it is Christmas Eve day and there is about 8 inches of snow out on the lawn. The shopping is done, presents sent, and I the thing I miss the most is being with family. Sometimes we just can’t be with those we love. I want to tell you all that I love you and miss you. I hope the Christmas spirit has found its way into your heart.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
1. Free your heart from hatred.
2. Free your mind from worries.
3. Live simply.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less.

I think if we practice the simple things that God can speak to our heart more easily. I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I miss both of my Grandfathers alot, but I know they are with their spouses. I know they are with their children and grandchildren that have passed on. I know that they would say “I wish you enough’. They would say “I Love you”. Blair posted a family picture. I hope this holiday season brings you peace and joy. Thank you dad for sharing your thoughts. I am so grateful you are doing this. Our children and grandchildren are enjoying it immensely. I hope my parents enjoy the gifts from their children this year. :) – :) We surprised you again – I hope.
I appreciate Troy’s family, Jennifer’s family, Tony’s family sites. It is good to learn about their fun families. I hope that you all can contribute.
Ross-my son, will be going to the middle east in a couple of months. Brandon Rogers – Freds son, also is in the military – I am hoping that we can help them and their families stay in touch with the rest of the family in their service to our country. There are several other cousins in the military also and I hope they all know how much we love them and God loves them. I hope they all find peace in their hearts and homes while they are away and hopefully they will be together soon.
Everyone has a story – everyone. There are things we can learn from all of you. Please help us understand our family by sharing the things you know about the family. It would be a tribute to our grandparents and parents.

I have a goal for next year to do some family history – I would like to as the next year progresses, get family members to email me any genealogy/pictures/stories they might have. I am trying to put some things together – so that it will be accessible to all the family (using a password). I would hope that all of you could share – you all must have a favorite grandparent story, a favorite uncle story, and/or a favorite parent story. I know they are out there. Please Help!
I love you all and miss you all. Love ME
